North American Breeding Bird Survey (BBS) Home Page The BBS is a roadside avian survey program designed to monitor the status and trends of breeding bird populations across North America. Data collected are widely used by researchers, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, and the general public for various management and research purposes.
"Internet Facilitated Open Modeling: A Keystone of Adaptive Management" (04/20 Draft) by John P. Felleman This paper advocates the use of Open Modeling or OM (i.e. increased public access to scientific and managerial models used in environmental decision-making processes) via the Internet, and suggests a preliminary OM classification scheme, system components, and applied research needs. Provides extensive links to reference sources.
